G.W. Tatro Construction has been working with Zap-Lok Pipelines Systems for over Thirty years and holds exclusivity for the snowmaking application in the Eastern portion of the U.S. The Zap-Lok Connection System is used extensively in both the petroleum and snowmaking industries.

We currently process any API5L X-42 steel pipe from 4” - 12” pipe and up to schedule 80. With the Zap-Lok process we are able to reduce production time and impact to your project site through speed and flexibility.

Experiencing issues with your buried snowmaking pipelines due to exterior corrosion? G.W. Tatro utilizing Zap-Lok and Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) coated pipelines may provide the perfect economical solution. FBE pipelines have been in service for over forty years in the petroleum industry.

In a recent report published in the Pipeline and Gas Journal. Data and

inspection reports on a 38 year old FBE pipeline showed “no indications of coating degradation or wall thickness and it appears that there are many years of remaining life on the FBE system” (Fore and Toby, 2006). This FBE pipeline had replaced a bare steel API 5L x-42 12” .375 wall pipeline which had been severely degraded through aggressive soil cathodic action.
